In Madhuban Bapudham, Ghaziabad, a 35-year-old man was arrested on Sunday for allegedly causing the death of a 70-year-old woman during a confrontation with her son. The deceased, Ramvati Devi, intervened in an argument between her son, Bijendra Kumar, and the accused, Majid, who resides in the same area. During the altercation, Majid allegedly pushed Ramvati, leading to her falling and sustaining fatal injuries. The incident occurred when Bijendra questioned Majid, who was sitting outside their residence in an inebriated state. Following the confrontation, Ramvati was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead. Majid, an e-rickshaw driver, has been charged under certain sections of the law, and he has been remanded to judicial custody after appearing in court.
